Go-SUMP meeting in Torres Vedras
The Low Carbon Economy and Urban Transports community of Interreg MED, named GO-SUMP, gathered in Torres Vedras, Portugal, at the end of September, for the second community building event. All six modular projects of the community were present, namely CAMPSUMP, LOCATIONS, MOBILITAS, MOTIVATE, REMEDIO and SUMPORT!
Since the last GO-SUMP meeting in Malaga, Spain, in April 2017, the projects have had opportunities to learn more about each other, while making progress on their own work. As expected, the projects had a lot in common, especially challenges. Therefore, during the meeting, they were split into different thematic groups aiming to discuss their common challenges, share good practices and identify ways to collaborate efficiently.
The thematic areas addressed were: Tourist destinations, Participatory Planning & Processes, ICT, Specific sub-areas of trip generation/attraction, and Low carbon transport modes/services. MOTIVATE attended the first three. Last, all the projects gathered in order to evaluate their contribution to the reduction of CO2.
